    Yesterday, the JV bowling team competed in Manhattan . Several bowlers had personal bests. We had some  students who placed in the top 5 and earned  medals. The bowlers represented themselves and SMS very well. Good job bowlers.

    The SMS Scholars Bowl teams opened their season last night at the Junction City Invitational. The 7th grade team opened their season with 4 straight victories and finished their night 4-2 after close games against Washburn Rural and Manhattan-Anthony.  Congratulations to the 7th grade team of Theo Wagnon, Taylor Tenpenny, Landon DiLeonardo, Amberly Sadler, and Jackson Stuewe for their 3rd place finish.  The 8th grade team also started off their tournament with 4 straight wins before dropping an overtime thriller with Washburn Rural.  The Vikes responded with a commanding 120-40 win over Manhattan-Anthony to win the tournament.  Congratulations to Micah Kobuszewski, Molly McLaughlin, Ike Prengel, Garrett Sandall, and Zosia Stottlemire for taking 1st place!  Great job, Vikes!

     

    Basketball, bowling and scholar bowl, it doesn't matter because SMS blows away the competition. Look forward to a spirit raid during 7th hour today. Go VIKES.

     

    FCCLA Members: We will be having STAR Event Work sessions today and Saturday 1/21 from 10 am-2pm

     

    All 7th grade students who are planning on attending the local reward trip on Friday need to attend a short meeting outside Mr. Druse’s room, 132, at the beginning of seminar today.

     

    All 7th grade students who are planning on attending Power Play need to attend a meeting during seminar in the gym.

If you are not sure if you purchased a yearbook, we have posted neon green signs on each teams bulletin board listing all students that have ordered a yearbook.
