Mr. Jeremy Mitchell

I am very proud to say that I am the Principal of the alternative programs for the Seaman USD 345 School District located at the Mathes Learning Center.

I am entering my fourth year as the Principal and I have been a part of these programs for over seven years. I really love my job as each day brings us new challenges; new people; and new excitement. The staff is very dedicated to aiding, guiding and helping both students and parents, as well as working as a team to help all be safe and successful.

A little bit about me.

My Life Journey: I was born and raised in Iowa and I love the Hawkeyes. I have been married for twenty-one years and like myself, my wife is in education. We have two wonderful and beautiful children. My daughter attends Washburn Rural High School and my son attends Washburng Rural Middle School. Yes, I know I am trying to get them to transfer to Seaman. I am very busy at nights with my children's activities as well as my officiating schedule. I officiate football and basketball at all levels, but I really enjoy the high school level. I love being with my family; love participating in sports or being a part of sports; and I love my job.

My educational background: I graduated from Parkersburg High School in Parkersburg, Iowa. I went on to Highland Community College where I earned my Associates Degree. I then went to Emporia State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences. I attended Central Missouri State University where I earned my license to teach in the state of Missouri. While teaching I earned my Masters in Administration from Southwest Missouri State University, now named Missouri State University. During my tenure as Principal in Lexington, Missouri I earned my Specialist in Administration from William Woods University.
