Learning Without Limits

Show Choir
The Seaman High School Show Choir performed a Valentine's Day song for the board of education. Mr. Bond also reviewed accomplishments from the year and upcoming opportunities for the group.

In November, The Viking Show Choir participated in the Annual Washburn University Showcase (featuring all of the local high schools). The Viking Show Choir was the only group featured on the local news broadcasts. Thirteen show choir students made the Northeast Kansas KMEA Honor Choir on December 4th. This is the largest group of SHS students in the past 25 years. The show choir worked hard to prepare four separate songs and auditioned in November.

Ellie Noble made the all-state KMEA Honor Choir. This is the second SHS student to make this choir in the past three years. This group is composed of the top 200 high school voices in the state.

The Show Choir performed at the Noon Noels service at First Presbyterian Church. They were the featured group on several news broadcasts for this event. The Show Choir received invitations to numerous business and community groups during the holiday season and will completed their holiday performances on January 10th with a visit to Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene to perform for a retirement group.

Superintendent Remarks

After a brief hiatus, we’re pleased to announce the Seaman Education Advantage Foundation Banquet is back in 2022.

SEAF was organized 20 years ago to provide academic scholarships for students and classroom teacher mini-grants to the staff of USD 345. Providing additional financial assistance is vitally important to assure the success of achieving quality education.

Since its inception SEAF adopted the mission to assist, advance, promote, and enhance
education. Thanks to continued donations from businesses and organizations like yours, SEAF is funding teacher mini-grants and student scholarships during the 2021-2022 school year.
