Seaman Education Advantage Foundation, also known as SEAF, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students and supporting school staff through funding that goes beyond the typical school budget. SEAF serves this role for our district, channeling community donations directly into resources that make a difference in our schools.
Through funding by generous contributions and sponsorships from individuals, businesses, and community members, SEAF's work directly supports student learning and teacher innovation through mini-grants and student scholarships.
Each year, every USD 345 teacher is provided the opportunity to apply for a mini-grant. Teacher mini-grants help provide educators the ability to implement creative projects and purchase materials that enhance the learning environment in ways that traditional budgets might not cover. Mini-grants have enabled teachers to bring in new technology, hands-on learning kits, and unique classroom experiences that spark student interest and engagement.
In addition to supporting teachers, SEAF also awards student scholarships that open doors to higher education. By lessening the financial burden, these scholarships allow students to pursue their academic goals and build a brighter future. High school seniors are encouraged to visit the counseling office to learn more about available student scholarships through SEAF as well as other opportunities.
The Seaman Education Advantage Foundation showcases our community's commitment to investing in education, ensuring students and teachers have the resources they need to succeed. Through continued donations, SEAF helps foster a vibrant, supportive learning environment across the district.
Thank you to our dedicated SEAF Board and all of our community for supporting teachers and students through our education foundation.
