Summer meal distribution will move forward with two drive thru sites: Mathes Early Learning Center (2032 N Kansas Ave) and Seaman Middle School (5530 NW Topeka Blvd) from 11:00-11:20 am, Monday-Friday until July 31, 2020.
Inclement Weather Plan: If there is a severe weather warning at 10 am, on the day of service, meal service will be suspended for that day.

Extra Food Distribution
Extra food distribution will be conducted at Logan Elementary School on Thursdays from 11:30-12:30 on the following dates:

July 9-front car line
July 23-front car line

Topeka North Outreach
Topeka North Outreach will distribute the weekend Operation Backpacks on Fridays from 11-12.

Summer Meals Texting Hotlines and Meal Site Maps
No Kid Hungry has a national texting hotline to provide information about summer meals sites to children and families in 2020. Children and families can text ‘FOOD’ or ‘COMIDA’ to 877-877 to receive information about meal service sites in their area.

USDA offers the following resources for families: Households can text “Summer Meals” to 97779, call 1-866-348-6479 to find Summer meal sites or go to the USDA 2020 Summer Meal Site Finder at

Food Bank
Seaman Baptist Church (2015 NW Buchanan) will be hosting a food bank Saturday, March 21st from 11am-2pm. This is for families living in north and northwest Topeka. Please bring your driver’s license and proof of address. Please join their FB page NorthTopekaTEFAP/FoodPantry.
