Board Meeting
The district will be planning an event called "Community Conversation - Navigating 2020" to help students transition back into school. The event is planned for July 23, 2020 from 6-8 pm at SHS. The mission statement for the event calls for our district to provide support and guidance as our school community experiences the impact of various events including: covid-19, continuous learning, reopening schools, civil unrest, and the effects of systemic racism in our nation. We will listen and provide support as educational leaders to help our schools move forward in the success of all students. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for families to come together with healthy conversations around current events, as kids prepare to transition back into school.

We collected around 200 masks at our first cloth mask collection drive and plan to have another drive in August before school begins. These masks will be available to students and staff who need or want one during summer activities. Summer camps will follow the KSHSAA recommendations.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced schools across the nation to adapt their facility use policies to ensure student and staff safety remains the top priority.

Outdoor facilities reservations: Begin June 8
Indoor facilities reservations: Begin June 22

Logan and North Fairview will not be available for summer use due to construction. Seaman High School will not be available because of summer camps.

The first planning meeting for our Continuous Learning Task Force is scheduled for June 15. This team will be working together to develop plans for learning, should the pandemic affect the 2020-21 school year.
