Learning Without Limits
The board recognized incoming freshman Megan Strobel for receiving a gold medal at state in the FCCLA Sports and Nutrition STAR event. Megan advanced to the national competition where she took 3rd place!
The board recognized graduated senior Hannah Mott and incoming junior Kate Eckert for receiving a gold at state in the FCCLA Public Policy Advocacy STAR event. Hannah and Kate went on to take 4th place in the nation!
Superintendent Remarks
Mr. Willson took a moment to talk about school security after acknowledging that school safety is on the minds of our parents, staff, and students. "There is nothing more important than protecting our children and our staff," said Willson. Mr. Willson recapped some of the safety measures the district takes to maintain safe and secure schools. click here. Mr. Willson also encouraged parents to talk to their kids about reporting concerns. "We're better when we work together to keep our kids safe just like we do to keep our kids educated."

President Remarks
Michelle Caudill spoke briefly about the beginning of the school year excitement and wished everyone a smooth transition for the school year.
Ms. Caudill also recognized Mr. Frank Henderson for his service as President for the USD 345 School Board. Mr. Henderson received a commemorative gavel for his board leadership.

Next 345 Board of Education Meeting
The next regularly scheduled board meeting will take place on September 12. It is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm.
Regular board meetings are scheduled on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 pm, with the exception of March, which will be held on the third Monday. Regular meetings may be adjourned to another time and place when necessary. Special meetings may also be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Regular meetings typically take place at the Seaman Education Center. When meeting locations change, notice is sent out to the public and made available online. Board agendas go live on the Friday afternoon prior to the regular board meeting.
All regular meetings are streamed live and available on the district's YouTube Channel. A recap of the meeting is also made available through the Board Digest.
Both in-person and digital public comment are accepted at regular board meetings. The public comment agenda item may be found in the meeting agenda.
