Blended Learning

Seaman Schools has been officially implementing blended learning since the 2016-17 school year. With blended learning, students receive some choice in the pace, place, path, or time of their learning. Through a combination of teacher instruction and online components, students are able to receive personalized, adaptive instruction at their level.

Each year, a new cohort of district staff undergoes professional development on blended learning to discover and apply best classroom practices. Teachers engaged in the cohort participate in two days of Blended Learning Bootcamp in the summer, followed by professional learning days embedded throughout the school year.
