All students wanting to participate in bowling must have a physical and other required forms on file in the office, BEFORE they are allowed to practice. These forms can be found online at the Seaman Middle School web page, or they may be picked up in the office.
There will be an information meeting for those students interested in participating in Bowling this season on December 18th in the commons during seminar. We will take care of the initial sign up, shirt orders, practices, transportation, expectations, grades, etc.
An additional meeting we be held on January 8th during seminar to answer any further questions that students may have.
Bowling Practice will start on January 11th at Gage Bowl. We practice from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. on your scheduled day. I will be finalizing a bowling calendar in the next month or so. We will also have a parent meeting after practice on the 11th and the 12th of January to help answer any additional questions. Stay tuned for additional information.

Access to Fort Riley has changed to ensure full compliance with Homeland Security directives. This directive requires installations to vet all visitors and un-cleared contractors prior to allowing entry to the installation, a common practice on all installations around the country.
For those who have a common access card, military ID, military dependent ID or retiree ID, you are already cleared and may enter as usual.
USD 475 and Fort Riley have partnered for over 60 years and the installation is taking into consideration the value our staff, families and visitors bring to Fort Riley.
Fort Riley School Sponsored Event/Sporting Activity
Visiting teams will be granted special event access to Fort Riley for team members, team staff, bus drivers, and coaches who do not possess DoD credentials.
A list of team members, team staff and coaches must be submitted to the Athletic Director at a minimum of 72 hours in advance.
All guests need to have a valid form of ID (i.e. Driver’s License or state ID) to present at Henry Gate. Juvenile guests (those under 16 years of age) may be vetted by their guardian (coach).
Teams will be able to come through Henry Gate VCC (Marshall Field, Exit 301 off of I-70).

Visitors (No military ID, military dependent ID or retiree ID all visitors must report to the Visitor Control Center)
• Report to Henry Gate Visitor Control Center (VCC) to request a Fort Riley Day Pass. The Day Pass is only good for the
date of the visit. A Daily Pass can be obtained the day of your visit or on a day prior to your visit.
o A pass will be granted if you clear the necessary background check.
o The background check will take 20-30 minutes the first time you visit. The next time you visit your original request will be on file and will go much quicker. Please take that into account when planning your visit.
Fort Riley’s intention is not to deter visitors; the Fort is just performing its mission, as are other Army Posts, to keep you and the installation safe.

Anyone academically eligible that wants to participate may, as long as they have a physical, assumption of risk, concussion form, and a consent to treat form on file in the office before the first practice. We will meet with students late Dec., during seminar to answer any initial questions. Additional meetings will follow after the break to prepare students for the upcoming season. Commonly asked questions:
All bowlers get picked up each practice from Gage Bowling Alley from 4:45- 5:15.
A bus will transport the bowlers to the bowling alley at the end of the school day.
Bowlers can use their own equipment or the bowling alley's equipment.
Each bowler needs to check the calendar as 7th and 8th graders practice on different days depending on the availability of the bowling alley.
There is no cost to be on the bowling team.
A schedule will be posted on this website and on Schoology.
