Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Michael Ragsdale
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Michael Ragsdale and this is my forth year at Seaman High School as a Special Education Teacher. I was born and raised in the Seaman District, graduating from West Indianola, Northern Hills Junior High and Seaman High School in 1999. I also graduated from Johnson County Community College in 2001, Washburn University in 2005 with a BED and in 2017 with a MED.
Prior to coming to Seaman High School I previously taught Physical Education at Highland Park High School for seven years and one year at Atchison County Community High School, teaching primarily Strength and Conditioning, along with Team Sports, Physical Dimensions and Adaptive Physical Education. I have been in education for twelve years. My undergraduate degree is in Physical Education from the Washburn University. I returned back to Washburn University to work on my Master's in Administration of Education.
Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, going to Royals games, and playing sports. I have enjoyed becoming involved with athletics at Seaman High School as an Assistant football Coach for the past eight years. I also work with student-athletes during the summer through our Weights & Conditioning Program.
Please contact me if needed at firstname.lastname@example.org, or on the phone at 785–286-8300.
Have a great day and Go Vikes!
