Mrs. Elizabeth Woodman
This is Mrs. Woodman's 15th year of teaching but she's "still a Freshman." ;) Biology and sciences are a passion, but she's also taught Algebra, and 6th grade Math and Science. A graduate of Bethany college, she's also participated in summer institutes at Genetics Science Learning Center - University of Utah, and University of Kansas and follows KABT boards and activities. In other hats, Mrs. Woodman is mom to three terrific teens, Deborah (21, college), David (19, senior+internship), and Dynah (16, SHS), and our four-legged family of Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Our family enjoys music: the older kids were in orchestra, Dynah played tenor sax in SHS Band and Topeka Jazz workshops, and Mrs Woodman can frequently be seen jamming on keyboards and singing in the worship team at Northland CC. A unique extension of her love of science and teaching, Ms Woodman raises and trains championship Pembroke Welsh corgis in conformation, agility, obedience, and herding. Genetic testing and temperament profiling are part of our raising/training, and the microscope stays busy at home as well!
