The following are internet options from local providers in response to an anticipated increase in home internet usage during stay-at-home orders. These offers may change so please check with the local provider for updated offers. 

Verizon: Unlimited customers will get additional LTE hotspot data, while prepaid or postpaid customers on a set data plan will receive an additional 15GB data. The extra data will show up without any action on the customer’s part. Any consumer wireless plan since 2015 is eligible, including unlimited data plans. On April 3, there will be a new broadband discount program available to new Fios Internet customers. Eligible customers can receive the first two months charges waived and $19.99/mo afterwards. AT&T: AT&T’s Access program is available for limited income households. Current offers are two months of free service to new customers who order by 4/30, and the as low as $5/mo thereafter depending on speed. All home data overage fees are currently being waived. A limited time $15 plan with 2Gb data, unlimited talk/text will be available to new and existing customers with no activation fee, plus 10GB per month additional data for 60 days at no cost. Cricket Wireless: A new $15 plan with 2GB of data, unlimited talk/text will be available for a limited time beginning 3/27. The plan is available to new and existing customers with no activation fee. Cricket is adding 10GB of data to capped plans for new and existing customers for two billing cycles. Sprint: Sprint is providing unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans, and are giving 20GB free mobile hotspot data to customers with hotspot-capable devices. Late fees caused by economic disturbances are being waved, and won’t terminate service if customers are unable to pay due to economic issues. T-Mobile: For the next 2 months, unlimited talk/text plus 2GB data is available for $15/mo for 60 days after activation. New and current Metro customers with any voice line can get a free 8” tablet with a $15 unlimited tablet data plan. MetroSmart hotspot devices will be half off, and the $35/mo data plan will include 20GB for the next 60 days. Cox: Cox’s Connect2Compete program provides low-cost home internet with wifi free for 60 days and $9.95/mo thereafter. It is available to families who are not an existing Cox internet customer, have at least one K-12 student, and participate in a government assistance program. Cox (continued): Residential customers in the company’s Starter, StraightUp Internet and Connect2Compete packages will automatically upgraded to speeds of 50Mbps. Cox Essential internet customers have been upgraded from 30Mbps to 50Mbps automatically at no charge.


CenturyLink: For the next 60 days, they are waiving late fees and not terminating residential or small business service due to financial circumstances associated with COVID19. All data usage limits for consumer customers have been waived.
