Posted on 02/03/2026
Seaman High School science teacher and robotics coach Chris Goble has been selected as the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) Outstanding Teacher Award recipient at the high school level for the 2025–26 school year. The prestigious honor recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in math, science, or technical education; employ imaginative instructional practices; and build strong, positive relationships with students.
Goble was nominated for the award based on his exceptional impact on students both in and beyond the classroom. He teaches Honors Chemistry at Seaman High School and serves as the Robotics coach and advisor, where his leadership has helped students connect rigorous academic content to real-world engineering applications.
Under Goble’s guidance, Seaman High School’s Robotics program achieved national recognition by qualifying for and competing in the VEX Robotics World Championship. His work emphasizes hands-on learning, problem-solving, and teamwork; skills essential for students pursuing STEM-related careers.
In addition to his classroom and coaching roles, Goble leads the school’s Engineering Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committee, a collaborative partnership of industry professionals, educators, and community members. The committee helps ensure the engineering program remains current, relevant, and aligned with workforce needs by advising on curriculum, technology, and real-world learning opportunities such as internships.
Goble’s influence has had a lasting effect on students’ academic and career pathways. Former students credit his mentorship and instruction with inspiring their interest in engineering and other STEM fields. His commitment to student growth has also earned him recognition within the Seaman School District as Activity/Club Sponsor of the Year.
The KSPE Outstanding Teacher Award will be presented during Engineers Week at an awards luncheon on Friday, February 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sunflower Nonprofit Center in Topeka.
Seaman USD 345 congratulates Chris Goble on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his continued dedication to inspiring students, strengthening STEM education, and preparing learners for future success.
