Communication Update - Schoology

Dear USD 345 Families,

As we kick off the new school year, we are excited to share with you the work that has been done by parents and staff to improve district-wide communication through Schoology

Seaman School District has already implemented Schoology in the classroom, allowing students to digitally submit assignments, review assignment grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, and more. As a parent, you have been able to view your child’s activity within the platform and will now have access to more efficient and personalized communication.

The district will be using Schoology as a primary means of communication to provide parents one place (no matter the building your students attend) to access dates, school events, news, and other information. We’re so excited to use Schoology because it allows parents a custom view of all the activities that pertain to their children. Parents can sign up to receive daily or weekly emails that will include information specific to their family. A Schoology app is also available for mobile devices.

While the district will still maintain other communication tools, we are strongly encouraging teachers, coaches, club sponsors, and everyone to utilize Schoology for the convenience of our parents. We know how busy you can get, and hunting down information shouldn’t be a hassle. We hope that Schoology becomes the tool that saves you time and helps you stay more connected.

Thank you for your support as we continue to work to improve parent communication. We look forward to Schoology’s continued use in our classrooms and as a new way to enhance connectivity and communication across Seaman Schools.

Parents/Guardians can take advantage of this learning and communication tool by creating a parent Schoology account. Visit for directions.

If you have questions or concerns regarding Schoology, please email Candace LeDuc at We're always excited to hear feedback from our Seaman community!
