On August 9, 2023, we invited local businesses to set up a table to showcase their business to our 50+ new teachers. Some teachers were new to the area so this was a great opportunity to introduce the amazing products and services offered by our local businesses and organizations. Each business was asked to provide a goodie bag for our new teachers. Please email [email protected] for more information.

An internship is a career preparation activity which students are placed at a worksite for a defined period of time to participate in and observe work firsthand within a given industry. An internship is an excellent way to determine if the industry and the profession is the best career option to follow before investing a lot of time and money in training and education.
Internships engage students in their own learning and provide multiple opportunities for reflection on the experience, both verbally and in writing. Quality internships are designed to directly support academic learning.

The Seaman Education Advantage Foundation (SEAF) was founded in 2002 with the specific goal of enhancing the educational opportunities for the students of the Seaman School District. Thousands of dollars in scholarships and teacher mini-grants have been awarded by SEAF. The continued funding of these initiatives is made possible by the valued support of businesses and individuals through donations, sponsorships, and/or participation in SEAFʼs annual fundraisers.

Every year, the Seaman Education Advantage Foundation (SEAF) works behind the scenes to provide student scholarships and teacher mini-grants that help support Seaman High School students and classroom projects from all over the district. Thanks to the many community sponsors and donors, SEAF was able to award more than $17,000 at last year’s annual banquet.
