Learning Without Limits

SHS Show Choir
SHS Show Choir Director Randall Bond updated the board on Show Choir competition results. The group has appeared in four competitions already this year and they have received an award at every competition. The Show Choir also gave a preview of their Singing Valentines, which can be ordered for a February 14 delivery.

NSBA Holiday Card
Congratulations to Linda Lucero’s student, Grace Miller, for winning the NSBA Holiday Card Design Contest! NSBA President Frank Henderson presented Grace with a poster size print of her artwork along with 20 blank cards.  

NH Living the Dream
David Ralph was recognized on behalf of Northern Hills Elementary for being the recipient of the Pauline J. Barker School Award at the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Living the Dream Banquet. Mr. Ralph talked about the belonging initiative at Northern Hills Elementary School, Every Bulldog Belongs. 

SHS NHS Living the Dream
National Honors Society Sponsor Morgan Simoneau and the SHS National Honors Society officers were recognized as the recipient of the Elizabeth Ross Community Action Award at the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Living the Dream Banquet. NHS officers have organized chapter events every month for community service every month and pushed members to gain at least 20 hours of community service. 

Superintendent Remarks

Brad Willson reviewed the Annual Budget Trend Report and the 2022 Annual Report. He also invited the board to the Annual SEAF Banquet at Seaman Middle School on February 23. Mr. Willson will deliver the State of the District and the SEAF board will recognize SEAF scholarship winners and teacher mini-grant winners. Doors open at 6:00 pm and dinner begins at 6:30 pm.

President Remarks

Michelle Caudill commented on how excited she was to hear the Seaman High School Show Choir perform. Ms. Caudill also revealed the fun fact that both her and fellow board member James Adams performed in the Seaman High School Show Choir during their high school years. Ms. Caudill also recognized the awards district schools continue to receive throughout the year.

Next 345 Board of Education Meeting

The next regularly scheduled board meeting will take place on March 20. It is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm.

Regular board meetings are scheduled on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 pm, with the exception of March, which will be held on the third Monday. Regular meetings may be adjourned to another time and place when necessary. Special meetings may also be scheduled on an as-needed basis. 

Regular meetings typically take place at the Seaman Education Center. When meeting locations change, notice is sent out to the public and made available online. Board agendas go live on the Friday afternoon prior to the regular board meeting. 

All regular meetings are streamed live and available on the district's YouTube Channel. A recap of the meeting is also made available through the Board Digest

Both in-person and digital public comment are accepted at regular board meetings. The public comment agenda item may be found in the meeting agenda
